Jack mulled over that. “Well, I guess that’s one way of looking at it.”
She gave him a strange look. “What’d you think we were testing?”
Jack shrugged. “I dunno… guess I wasn’t thinking about the why so much as the what.” He hesitated. “Well, and there’s the money.”
“Yeah, that is pretty distracting.”
“You can say that again.”
“Yeah, that is pretty distracting.”
Jack smirked at her. “I didn’t mean literally.”
She stuck her tongue out at him. “Then why’d you say it?”
“Because… it’s an expression?”
“Oh, I see,” Chastity said, feigning realization.
“Shut up.”
“You shut up,” she teased.
“Do I have to tickle you again?”
She affected a gasp. “You wouldn’t dare!”
Jack scoffed. “I would so!”
