Forever a Child Scene 3

Kelly Witman was your average girl in most respects.

She was in eight grade, about to enter high school.

She hung out with friends and went to the movies, went shopping….normal teenage things.

But she was alone among her friends in one respect.

She wanted to remain a child.

She had always had these feelings but now that she was about to enter high school, they were much stronger.

There was no doubt she was getting older.

No more middle school, she was to be a high school student.

She envied her 6 year old sister, Jessica, who was still in kindergarten.

In fact, she would often play dolls or house with her sister and her friends instead of going out.

She was considered a “big little girl” jokingly by her sister’s friends and accepted as just another playmate.
