K.J.’s directions weren’t the greatest, but Tony was able to navigate his way over to her place sans incident the following afternoon. She occupied a first-floor apartment in a converted house with a screened-in porch. Her door was on the left side and limped his way up a set of short, wooden steps. His leg hurt and his face was sore when he touched it, but he’d been told nothing was broken. It could have been a lot worse. Amy, Niccoldi, and Emma were dead.
