So much for seeing Ron anytime soon, she thought. That was…if she saw him ever again.
“How long?” she asked dismally.
“Until you can show us some more responsibility,” Drew told her. “At least a week. Maybe two.”
Megan put her hands over her face. Grounded by her parents at her age. It was too embarrassing.
“Oh, cut it out,” Nancy remarked. “It won’t be THAT bad. You’ll survive, I’m sure.”
“Right, Mom,” she answered blankly.
“I’m sure you need changing by now…”
“I’m fine,” Megan quickly replied.
“Megan,” said Drew. “Are you even wearing a diaper?”
Her face slowly reddened as she stammered her way through a half-assed explanation. When she saw that they weren’t buying it, out came the truth.
“No.”
Nancy shook her head disapprovingly and Drew’s facial muscles tensed.
“The lack of trust…” he began. “This is unbelievable!”
