It might have been pretty, Meg reckoned, had not the water taken on an ugly mud-brown hue. With such a narrow assortment of streets for her to turn onto, Megan found Kylie’s house in no time.
She stepped outside and looked around. In spite of the town’s Spartan demeanor, the houses weren’t bad. There was “breathing room”, as her mother might have said. The weather was warm and the bugs were out. Megan swatted a few away from her face, but managed to get stung elsewhere anyway. Her arms and much of her legs were bare. She wore a tank top and denim shorts, with a pair of panties doing a barely adequate job of concealing her diaper. It’d be easier if she were a guy, she thought.
