“They’re assholes.”
“Why?”
“Well…it’s like this: they smile to your face, but then they get you back in little ways. Like this guy Ben. He’s a year or two older and he came back and started substitute teaching at the school. So he’s doing a science lesson and he’s discussing what might have led to the end of the dinosaurs. And then this kid comes out and says that God killed them.”
“Really….”
“And Ben didn’t even say it was wrong or anything. But he was just trying to teach. So he started listing these other explanations. You know, like starvation and stuff like that. But then every time he started on one, the kid would come in with, “Nu-uh…God killed him…. you’re a liar!” Eventually, he got sick of it and he gave the kid a warning. The next day, he got fired. And now he can’t get a job anywhere.”
