“I MESSED up, OK,” he said. “And now I’m trying to fix it.”
“I’m not a leaky faucet, Ron,” she explained. “I’m a girl whose been dumped by her boyfriend, attacking by a psycho bitch, wets her bed and can’t seem to stay out of trouble for more than two weeks at a time. You were right to approach with caution.”
“If this was anyone else, I would have hung up a long time ago,” he told her bitterly.
“Then why haven’t you?”
“Because,” he said. “I did take some time and I did figure things out and what I figured out is that I wanna be with you. Even if its only for just one more time.”
