When the phone rang we both looked at the caller’s I.D. and saw that it was Terri. Kevin was sitting closer to the phone and snatched it right up and started with a cheerful, “Hi, Mom!” and then “…It’s been great so far…uh yeah…it was a little weird at first…no, she takes me to the bathroom…Legos!… I built a pirate ship…I’ll send you a picture…yes…was that your idea?… I guess I was tired…no, I didn’t make a fuss…Carrie said she’d let me stay up later if I did…put together the wheelchair…no, we just finished…I guess it looks comfortable…no, more like a stroller, you know the kind that little kids use, but bigger…an umbrella stroller?
