It actually felt kind of good; the house was rather warm as the air conditioning wasn’t on while her parents were out of town.

Once she was fully clothed again, Hailey headed back to Emily’s house. She absolutely had to find a way to do this again sometime. She just didn’t know how long it would be before she got her next opportunity.

She’d already dealt with the grief of losing a parent several years earlier, but it wasn’t any easier the second time around. How she wished she could go back to when she was younger, when she had both of her parents and everything was happy enough. She’d gradually come to accept that her life would never be like that again after the death of her mother. The innocence of her childhood had been shattered.
