Erin, for the most part, accepted the diapers. Yes, she’d rather not need them at all, but since her body disagreed with her about appropriate times to urinate, she may as well make it easier on herself and her new family to deal with. She was mildly curious how it would feel to wake up in a wet diaper instead of a wet bed, but not curious enough to hope that she would wet tonight. If she never found out what a wet diaper felt like, she wouldn’t be unhappy.
She looked over at Hailey, whose diaper Erin could easily see. Had Hailey’s decision to help her been pure, or had she felt obligated to do so because Aunt Sue had been there? Even after only a few days with Hailey, she could tell that Hailey had a strong desire to impress her parents.
