“Oh god!” Billy thinks as he watches what the girls do, skipping and hopping in their dresses and pinnies, dreading the moment when it’s his turn. A couple of the girls giggled at how inept he was whilst the others encouraged him. “It’s not easy in heels,” Billy claimed, although he couldn’t be sure if he’d be much better at hopscotch if he’d worn boy’s shoes.
