Grandmother, who at first had been strong, appeared to have run out of strength after the first day and seemed as though she were almost hollow inside whenever I would see her. Grandfather was hardly ever home; if he wasn’t at the hospital visiting those that survived the fire, then he was working and visiting families who had lost loved ones. He would only come home to shower, eat, sleep very little, and then he’d leave again.
