“Heheh.. You sure?” Dillion began caringly wiping his sister’s face, and the girl was at least sensible enough to hold still while he did it. “You’re not gonna get upset if you have an accident, are you?”

“Of course not!” replied the girl insistently. “I’m not going to have an accident, so the situation doesn’t apply! I’ll uh… Figure this thing out later.”

“Okay then.” The girl felt her head patted by the slightly taller boy then, which she found herself with mixed feelings about. Once he stopped, the boy offered, “Let’s go see if the cake’s ready, huh?”

“Uh, yeah…” Cake would certainly be something on a day like this. Not exactly a huge way to make up the difference, but at least it’d be a small bright spot. “Lead the way.”
