Ray entered from the living room. “Hi Dougie, whatcha doin’?” He looked up at Trinna, who was now holding the bag close to her chest as if to hide it. “What’s that?”
Dougie reached down and ruffled the boy’s hair. “Hey there, Rayray. Just dropping something off for your sister.”
“Hmm?” Ray looked up at the bag again. He couldn’t tell what was inside, but the shape seemed familiar. He’d never seen his sister blush like that either. What could it be? He kept trying to think where he’d seen a package shaped like that before. My diapers! But why would Trinna blush and try to hide them? Unless… His eyes went wide. “They’re for you! You wear diapers!” He watched Trinna turn even redder.
“Um…” Dougie was blushing too. “Y’know what I haven’t seen in a while? Your kitchen.” He awkwardly left, leaving the siblings alone.
