She peeked into Ray’s room and saw he was still asleep. “Ray? How’s it going?” He turned over and mumbled something. Trinna entered the room and set on the edge of the bed. “Are you feeling any better?” She felt his forehead. “Still no fever.”
Ray sat up, but didn’t meet her gaze. “I feel fine.” He started to blush, and mumbled, “I’m really sorry ’bout what happened.”
“I told you, don’t worry about it.” Trinna said as she gently rubbed his shoulder. “Hey, I wanted to tell you a story, it might make you feel better.” Ray shrugged, which she thought could be a yes. “It was about six years ago, right after you were born. Mom and dad were giving you a lot of attention, and I was feeling jealous. They were always busy taking care of you, it seemed.”
