The three teenage girls sat and played in the playpen happily together. Playing a simple game of catch with a large red ball. Mostly the girls would miss catching the ball and they would go off crawling after it to bring it back. They amused themselves for a while with the game when a carer came and leaned over the playpen bars.

“Hey girls. Do you want to play in your baby walkers for a while before lunch is ready”

The ball was instantly forgotten as all three girls chimed “YES PLEASE!” eagerly. They crawled to the edge of the playpen and jostled with one another so that they would be picked up first. Molly was gathered up first, she kept her teddy bear close and was carried over to a large baby walker. She was eased into the seat. Her feet didn’t quite reach the floor properly so she found herself balanced on her tiptoes and as a result her crotch was taking the majority of her weight pulling her thick diaper up making it even more obvious than it already was.

She pushed herself along on her tiptoes. It was actually quite hard work. Molly tottered around the play area, really enjoying the haphazard way she wobbled around. Suddenly she was hit from behind and she swivelled round to see Sarah grinning sheepishly.

“Sorry Molly, didn’t mean to hit you. I was trying to go over there.” she said as she pointed in completely the opposite direction.

Molly giggled. “Don’t worry about it Sarah. It’s pretty tricky.”

“I can do it. LOOK!” Jennifer yelled happily even though she was close enough to the pair that talking would have been adequate.

Jennifer spun herself in a full 360 degree circle and giggled as her hair band fell from her head onto the baby walker tray in front of her. She picked it up and randomly began to chew on it. Molly could still tell Jenny was smiling. Molly felt happy. Clearly her friend was enjoying herself. It was rare to see Jennifer so smiley. The three of them toddled around in their walkers. Jennifer accidentally walked into a bigger girl who was trying to play a game of snap with her friends on the floor.

“Hey watch it baby, stay away from us bigger kids” The girl snapped as she gathered up the large playing cards that Jennifer had accidentally run over with her walker.

“Oh….sorry.” Jennifer mumbled and wobbled her way back to where Sarah and Molly were, blushing slightly at her mistake.

Molly had been about to ask what had happened when suddenly she was hoisted from her baby walker from behind without any warning. She yelped in surprise but was then manoeuvred around so that she could see that a daycare worker had picked her up. She only just managed to grab her teddy bear in time. She flung her arms around the worker’s neck and held on as she was supported by her thickly padded behind. The worker gently rocked her up and down whilst smiling at Jennifer and Sarah.

“It’s time for you three to have lunch.” She said as two other workers came and retrieved Sarah and Jennifer.

“I wanna keep playing in my walker. I’m not hungry” Jennifer pouted and kicked out at the worker who had picked her up, but her kicks were so feeble the worker just ignored them as all three girls were carried into the kitchen area and placed into oversized high chairs.

“I don’t want food. I wanna play. I WANNA PLAY!” Jennifer kicked and cried and pummelled the high chair feeding tray in a full fit of tantrum but being strapped into the high chair she couldn’t do much else and the worker assigned to feeding her just let her cry out her frustration as a cute baby bib was tied around Jennifer’s neck.
