A talking Barney and his teddy bear were up against the railing. Diapers and wipes were on top of his dresser. A diaper genie was next to his bed. A Fisher Price telephone and popping vacuum were on the floor. Everything looked right, but he also knew that it wasn’t supposed to look like that. Something was wrong, but he couldn’t figure out what.

At breakfast, he had to sit in a booster seat. His mom put a bib on him to keep his clothes clean. Although Franky knew this wasn’t normal for a seven year old, for some reason it felt ordinary and completely acceptable. He was confused.
