I smiled as the baby sheep also showed affection towards Lea. The lamb’s tongue swiped across the child’s cheek, causing an eruption of giggles. We all watched as Lea enjoyed her time around the baby animals, but knew that we would soon have to leave to let others have that chance as well.
After almost an hour of playing with the sheep, I knew it was time to go. A sorrowful look swept over Lea’s eyes as she waved good bye to the animals. I picked her up to my shoulders so she would be able to see more clearly everything around her, as well as take her mind off of missing the petting farm. Lea now looking around at everything with sheer attentiveness, frantically pointed to a stuffed animal way into the distance, pinned up to a rack filled with numerous other toys.
