It seemed ignoring whatever Amber had instructed was a way Lea expressed her feelings of betrayal for being left at the orphanage once again. I truthfully expressed my apologies to her on making her feel the way she did, and only after which little Lea finally began to show forgiveness. She kept her arms around my neck practically all those two days. I honestly did not mind carrying her anyway; it helped strengthen the bond we felt toward one another and that meant more to me than anything. What was necessary to allow her to trust me once more was done without complaint.
After our time together, I knew the next day I would have to leave to go back to booking conferences and meets with fellow co-workers; nothing good could last forever.
