Megan shrugged. “You get used to it, I guess.”
“Yeah, maybe I will.”
“Look,” she began. “I’m glad you found something you like. Really. But don’t go rushing all into it…”
“Why not?” Carrie interrupted.
“Let me finish, OK?” Megan cleared her throat. “Don’t go rushing all into it before considering what it means first.”
“I won’t,” Carrie assured her.
“And if you are considering it,” Megan cautioned. “Don’t tell Mom and Dad. At least not yet. Between all the stuff we’ve thrown at them lately, we’re lucky they haven’t had heart attacks.”
“OK, I won’t tell.”
“Good. Anytime you wanna borrow a diaper from me, just ask. Or, you can get you’re own. But if Mom should happen to find it, she’s going to want to know where it came from.”
“Gotcha. Thanks Meg.”
“No problem.”
