Ted about hit the roof when Ron told him what Deanna had done. Megan had seen Ted angry a few times, and it was almost comical to watch him. First, his face would go red. Then, he’d stop whatever he was doing and dramatically stand up, staring at his antagonizer(s) with seething rage. Sweet and sensitive Ted would transform into monstrous macho Ted right before her eyes. He’d curse. He’d threaten. Once or twice, he’d actually throw things. She hadn’t seen him hit anyone…yet. And then, when it was over with, he’d find himself calm and quite embarrassed. He’d apologize profusely and slink guiltily away.
“WHAT?!” Ted exploded when Ron pulled him aside. “WHERE IS SHE?!”
Megan cast her attention two lanes over, but the group had since dispersed. She looked around the bowling alley and saw them congregated by the exit.
“Let’s go,” Ron grumbled.
Anna seemed totally lost in the dark. “What’s going on?” she asked.
