Alex wasn’t nearly as dismayed as Jordan thought she ought to be. Alex no doubt listened and seemed to recognize that this was painful for Jordan but as a twelve-year-old herself, it was simply too difficult for her to break away from her own world long enough to deeply empathize with other human beings. Alex had had an incredibly stressful couple of weeks too with the PTSD flare-up and all…. Jordan possessed the same kind of immaturity although she wasn’t herself aware if it. Never-the-less it was a painful realization: wow. I feel like I’m losing everyone…a real life horror story.
