Erin was confused at first. She’d never considered that using a diaper could be anything other than unintentional. “You did it on purpose?” she asked, incredulously.

Hailey’s cheeks were burning red. “Yes.”

“Why?”

“I wanted to use the diaper.”

“Wanted to?” Erin wasn’t any less confused.

“Well…” Hailey paused. “I kind of like wetting myself.”

Neither girl said anything for a moment. Hailey was staring at her toes intently enough to burn a hole through them with her gaze. Erin wanted to ask further questions, but couldn’t think of anything simple and obvious to say, so she said nothing.

Hailey finally broke the silence. “I guess you probably want to know why.”

Erin issued a cautious reply. “If you want to tell me, I’d be happy to hear it.”

“I’ll tell you, but I don’t really want to talk about it in the house. How about I take a shower, and then after that we can go for a walk?”

“That’s fine,” spoke Erin.
