Hailey blushed furiously. Don’t tempt me, she thought. Erin just raised her eyebrows at her uncle.

“I’m kidding,” he explained. “There are bathrooms just inside the park entrance, if I remember correctly.” He looked over at Erin and noted her thin eyewear. “By the way, how bad is your vision without those glasses?”

“I can see okay without them… the distance is a bit blurrier than it should be. Why?”

“There’s a chance you could lose them on certain rides, so unless you want to leave them on the platform on those rides, it might be better to just leave them in the car if you can do without them for the day.”

“Yeah, I’ll be fine without them.” Erin set her glasses in the car, and the party of three started working their way through the gargantuan parking lot towards the main entrance.

As Erin walked, she was suddenly aware of the bulk of her diaper. To be sure, it was a familiar feeling, but she’d never worn a diaper outside the house before. Now that she was going to be in the middle of a great crowd of people, she started to question her decision. Hailey and Aunt Sue had both told her that her diaper couldn’t be seen, and she had to admit that she couldn’t see that Hailey was wearing one, but now she wasn’t entirely sure that nobody would be able to tell.

The diaper had seemed like such a good idea after her accident at the theater; she could remember telling herself that she’d rather be caught in a diaper than in wet pants. Now that she was actually wearing the diaper, though, she wasn’t so sure.

Calm down, Erin, she told herself. Nobody will see that you’re in a diaper. They will see if you pee your pants without a diaper on, though, and you can’t exactly be trusted not to do that. Besides, Hailey seems to be doing okay with wearing them in public.

Not that she had any choice at this point, anyway. She was holding a backpack with diapers in it; she somehow doubted that Aunt Sue would have packed any normal panties in the bag. After all, if she needed to change, that meant that she had wet her diaper; and if she’d done that, how could she be trusted with panties? She had the choice of a diaper or nothing at all under her shorts, and the latter choice didn’t sound appealing either. So, for better or worse, she was stuck wearing a diaper.

Hailey had some small doubts as well, but they were overcome by her excitement. She was wearing a diaper in public, with her parents’ blessing, and it was unlikely anybody else would know. She just wished that she could actually make use of it.

Just as Erin had managed to calm herself down, her nervousness flared up again as they arrived at the gate. Stretching in front of the entrance was a row of metal detectors similar to those at airports, and they were inspecting any containers that people were carrying. They would look in the backpack she was carrying, and see her diapers!

Hailey and her father were surprised as well; the extra security had not been set up at the park last year. They quickly came to the same conclusion as Erin, and both looked at her.

“They’re going to see my diapers,” whispered Erin, her face paler than usual.

Hailey could see that Erin was terrified, and decided to take charge. “I’ll hold the bag, Erin. That way they won’t think they’re yours.” Okay, it’ll be a little embarrassing, realized Hailey, but better me than Erin. Besides, what do I care if some random security guard thinks I wear diapers?

Erin couldn’t form words to thank Hailey; she simply approached Hailey and practically collapsed on her in a big hug. The girls held the position for a moment, then separated, Hailey taking the bag with her.
