She arrived back at the house just in time to see her mom setting the table. “I ordered pizza, it’ll probably be here in about fifteen minutes,” her mother informed her. Hailey knew full well that her parents could have ordered soda along with the pizza, she was proud that they’d let her go get it anyway.
She left the soda bottle on the table. She still needed to empty her bowels, and fifteen minutes was probably long enough, so she headed to the downstairs bathroom.
People who visited their house often commented that the downstairs bathroom was unusual. It was more of a laundry room with a toilet, so as Hailey sat down on the toilet, she could see the washer, dryer, and an oversized basin sink. Hailey had never admitted it, but she’d hopped up and sat on the edge of that sink to pee in it before.
