She spent many one-sided conversations listing to Hailey all the boys Emily wanted to date, from celebrities down to boys from their school. Hailey found this discussion pointless. Most of the boys their age were only just starting to discover that girls were worth pursuing rather than avoiding or taunting, and the few boys who were interested in girls had already been claimed by the popular girls that Emily was so desperately trying to emulate.
