Erin was somewhat alarmed. This kind of situation usually happened when she suppressed and eventually forgot about her initial urge to pee. She didn’t explicitly remember needing to pee before, though. She guessed that must have been having too much fun playing with Hailey to remember her bladder’s initial signal.
The real problem was that she didn’t know whether she just didn’t remember ignoring her bladder, or if she had actually never felt the urge to pee until just now. If it was the former, she could work with it; she would just need to be more careful about heeding her body’s warnings. If it was the latter, though, that would be scary. She knew she wouldn’t always be within minutes of a toilet.
