Regardless, it was obvious that having to wash Erin’s sheets a few times a week was not the ideal solution. Erin was just too polite, Sue lamented. Her niece always seemed horrified to be imposing on her whenever she insisted on helping. Erin didn’t seem to mind the help itself, but she would never ask for it, and she would always apologize profusely whenever it was given to her anyway.
Anyway, it really couldn’t be fun to wake up in a soaked bed, especially when it happened in the middle of the night, forcing Erin to migrate to Hailey’s bed. Although Sue had never had to deal with a bedwetting child before, she’d had friends whose kids needed to wear diapers at night. It would probably be in the best interest of everyone for Erin to wear some protection. But such a personal thing would have to be Erin’s choice; she wasn’t about to force her niece into diapers without her niece’s full support of the idea.
