Mrs Summers had gone out to the store earlier that afternoon. She’d brought back a pack of diapers, some wipes, and a small trash can with an airtight lid. “It’s for putting your used diapers in,” she informed the girls as she placed it in their closet. “Be sure to empty it into the outside trash can every once in a while so your room doesn’t start to smell like pee.”
“What are the wipes for?” Hailey asked. “It’s not like Erin’s pooping the bed.”
“Even just for pee, you should use them. You need to clean up well after sitting in a wet diaper,” Sue informed them.
When it was time to change into pajamas, Mrs. Summers showed each of the girls how to put their diaper on and take it off properly.
