Erin woke up suddenly, her heart beating rapidly.
It was just a dream, she realized. If it were any consolation, she had been right about her nightmares continuing, but this was a case where she would have preferred to be wrong. Mary was dead, and she still wouldn’t leave Erin alone.
Something didn’t feel right, though. Erin couldn’t put her finger on it right away, but as she calmed down, the symptoms became more apparent. The first thing that she noticed was that she barely needed to pee.
