He abruptly turned his head away, staring forward hoping she hadn’t noticed and didn’t think he was some kind of pervert. If she had noticed she didn’t give any indication and continued with the conversation as normal.
“So you’re with Clearview…” Nancy said, taking a moment to pause as she looked for the right words to say.
“Yeah, it’s my first day here.” Cody said with a small smile, pondering in his mind how proud he was that he could finally consider himself an adult, one who was studying at college no less.
“Oh how wonderful, we’ll we will be glad to have you join us that’s for sure.” Nancy replied, giving his thigh a gentle squeeze.
“Oh you’re a teacher?” Cody said, with no subtlety to the surprise in his voice.
