I can actually add more very interesting context to this.
I came across a post years and years ago on a local Bootle webpage (pre Facebook even, I think, but not an FB page anyway) where a lady mentioned the same story about being caned ” on the arse” by “vinegar tits” at the age of about 15.
This lady now lived in USA (her user name gave that away) and the ID tied in perfectly with this being the same person.
On the local group however there was an added detail.  I’d give the link if I could at all remember the page, if it even still exists, but my brain is getting more confusticated.
Not so much so as to forget the gist:  Miss Evans had got fed up with her, took her to the office where there was at least one other female teacher as witness, bent her over … and pulled her knickers down to cane her.
I think the poster had decided in her more recent FB post to avoid the prurient detail.

I’m pleased that this triggered a memory and thanks for adding the further details.  Consequently, I done a bit more research and found another quote from Christine in another facebook group when she was commentating on an old photograph.

‘That’s Miss Evans bottom row second from the right. Believe it or not she gave me the cane on my bum at age 14’

It’s unfortunate that you cannot recall the old group that you found the more detailed account.  I’ve had a quick peruse of the net and the most promising group I have found is here.

Perhaps Another_Lurker might be able to use his skills and search a bit deeper.

Lets see if any further evidence surfaces.

I would be less than honest however not to admit however that I have slight reservations .

I have , over very many years, made many cautiously and not so cautiously worded  enquiries of many ladies regarding their SCP experiences .  Not surprisingly many deny having experienced any  although further  discreet enquiries of former school chums often indicate that not being the case. Presumably the memory of being slippered, even mildly,  on the bum by a male teacher in front of the class is  just too embarrasing to have in ones memory

On the other end of the spectrum are the exaggerators and elaboraters   whereby ,for notoriety or  other  reasons best known to themselves such events are made more colorful  and interesting with tantalising  but sometimes fanciful accounts of clothing adjustment and harshness of  the effects.

In this instance I think it would have been better had the lady not claimed “I was limping for weeks and could not sit down”

Also one must wonder why she seems quite happy to recount her experiences in  a history group but  not to her former class mates

Having said that maybe its best we give her the benefit of the doubt so we can imagine the look of shock and surprise on her face as she feels her nicks being taken down and the excruciating  pain of that first cane and subsequent strokes.. Bear in mind she was previously only used to hand caning.

Well this is a first for me……limping after a caning !!!!! I’ve never heard of that before, never witnessed it and having been caned numerous times whilst ‘ playing’ as an adult in the scene can’t imagine why a sore bottom would make you limp

I have absolutely no reservations about echoing Sir John 2 and others here for whom I have great respect.  I do though regret deprecating a good ‘girl caned on the bare at school’ story.  One encounters so very few of them.

I must say though that I too am rather suspicious of the fact that Christine apparently tells the same relatively anodyne story in two school related group postings separated by several years.  Caned on the bottom by the headmistress at age 14.  By no means exceptional in around 1962 when Christine would have been 14.  And in a 1962 Secondary school flicking custard in a teacher’s face might well have merited the cane on the bottom.

But then we have the posting in the history group unrelated to the school.  The age goes up to 15, the skirt too goes up and the knickers come down.  There is perhaps a certain je ne sais quoi in being caned on the bare at 15 rather rather than at 14, at least as perceived by Christine.  Be that as it may, the reasonable probability is that there will be rather less people in the history group likely to say ‘that never happened’ than in the school related groups so Christine can safely exaggerate a little and spice up the account.

Christine may anyway well be wrong in assuming that had she been caned on the bare in the USA she would have been en route to a fortune.  Many US citizens in non-paddling States are blissfully ignorant of the fact that there was in the past a great deal of corporal punishment on the bottom of both females and males in some US schools, and at ages well above 14 or 15.  Indeed in a few States this still happens today.  If we go back as far as 1962 accounts of disrobing of paddled students are not unknown, particularly in private and religious schools.

I don’t though recall any cases of students so paddled making their fortune by claiming foul play.  Possibly our US readers can make valuable  and informative comment on this.

I too have my reservations, however, my gut feeling thinks there might be some credibility to this one.  Georgiec has already mentioned that Christine was a major contributor to the Bootle History and that her other posts were very ordinary.  These posts were from 15 years ago and on a faceless forum.  It would have been easy to hide, however, she chose not too and put her name out there, mostly due to her interest in ancestry.

I failed to mention that her SCP related posts in the facebook groups were not in specific group for the school, but also in regional history groups and posted around 3 years ago.  A plausible reason could be is that she didn’t reveal more specific details as by the very nature of facebook you are a bit more exposed.  Or perhaps after her posts on the Bootle History group see became a target for seekers of the truth and as a consequence doesn’t go into as great a detail as before.  She certainly failed to respond to further questioning from facebook truth seeker Christine Lewis.

In reference to the limping after the caning I wouldn’t really know.  I’ve only been caned once (by an exotic dancer) and although she wasn’t gentle and it stung at the time, I can’t recall having trouble sitting or limping afterwards.  There are people on here far more qualified than me to pass comment.

Finally, I wouldn’t put too much emphasis on whether she was 14 or 15 at the time.  This will have been over 60 years ago, and time can easily become jumbled over the years.  My guess is that the caning took place during the 1962/63 term during her last year at school when she was either 14 or 15.

Of course I could be wrong and she might have invented or exaggerated the event.  However, I see no reason to not believe her and fail to see what she would gain by lying.

I tend to give reasonable credibility to posts I happen to come across on local history groups as the contributor isn’t obviously feeding the imaginations of kinky people. Some school Facebook groups get infiltrated by “Christine Lewis” or “Peter John” hoping to elicit such stuff. Generally when there’s a topic about CP in general historical groups you get a LOT of female contributors replying to the effect that. yes, they were spanked/slippered/caned at least once, but rarely giving any further info so I think there is a whole reservoir of female school CP experience untapped but in most cases it will remain that way in terms of wanting to know prurient detail.
