I don’t think anyone else has mentioned this.  My apologies if they have and I’ve missed it.  As an aspirant to the status of fully fledged earnest seeker after the truth about the corporal punishment of schoolgirls my eye was inevitably caught by the third entry for Harpurhey High School For Girls, Manchester in your contribution here.

Penny – b1958 – Hand across bare bottom by female teachers – 1969 to 1974

A High School, therefore a secondary school.  Not one teacher (an isolated slap in the changing rooms perhaps)  but ‘teachers’, indicating multiple occurrences involving different members of staff.   And in 1969 to 1974!

To say the least this sounds highly unlikely.  Or at least it does to me, especially when all the other girls claimed the strap across unspecified anatomy with the exception of one who claimed the cane ditto.  Did ‘Penny’ give any explanation?  Did anyone challenge or question her?  Any information most gratefully received.

Hi – What about the two 2 girls from Hartshead Secondary, Carol and Nisha wno were both handspanked over a female teachers knee aged 15, at the front of the class, wonder if they were both spanked together

As a fellow “earnest seeker of the truth” I did feel the need to investigate. If one searches on Facebook for ” Harpurhey High School For Girls” there are at least three public Facebook groups. The substantial discussion is initiated by others and appears genuine to me – there is significant indignation by several posters at the behaviour of two women teachers who are named by others. This is the comment by Penny, supported by others.
That school makes me go cold, hated it and hated the PE lessons and showers can’t remember the names of our two teachers but they made you go in the showers with nothing on and if you ran through they smacked you on the bare bottom – wouldn’t get away with it now.

Thank you for the amazingly prompt and very comprehensive clarification.  Something to do with changing rooms, showers etc was always a possibility, hence the remark in my querying post.  I should have twigged that for some subjects, like PE, the same teacher or teachers tended to feature year after year, and if the PE teachers at Harpurhey High School for Girls were into a bit of bare bottom slapping that would certainly explain matters.  Unfortunately those prone to such practices are often attracted to particular physical or personality types to have their bit of fun with, and possibly the unfortunate Penny matched the profile.

Memory tells me that somewhere here, narrated by a lady who kept an unusual breed of dog and was into horse riding but who has not posted for a long time, there is an account of a full scale bare bottom spanking she witnessed during a swimming lesson at her girls’ secondary school.  But alas the Another_Lurker memory is not what it was and Cloudflare will not let me into the Forum Search Engine  to check.

You’re a superior researcher to myself as I have only been able to find one public facebook group for Harpurhey High School For Girls here.  It would be greatly appreciated if you could link the other two.  Regarding the alleged bare bottom of Penny, you have posted the exact quote that I discovered and I  came to the conclusion as you, that it is a genuine account.  In fact, nearly all the alleged bare bottom punishments of secondary school female pupils that I have encountered so far have occurred around shower time.

Regarding the alleged over-the-knee spankings at Hartshead High School.

Carol recalls:

‘I remember when the whole class was put over her knee for a slap, not at the same time obviously, we had to line up, oh how times have changed’

this is supported by Nisha:

‘Remember getting a spanking from her. The whole class of O Level history, all girls, had to line up and bend over her lap for the spanked bottom’

Nisha and Carol are around the same age (born about 1963).  Consequently, it could have been the same event.  I think it is something that they would have both remembered so I believe it probably was.

The teacher in question was a Miss Donellon (sp?).  Who was rumoured to have been a nun prior to becoming a teacher at Hartshead in 1971 and retiring there around 2005 as deputy headmistress.  She was by all accounts a giant of a lady who was fearsome but fair, and is mostly remembered fondly.  There are also several accounts of her using a cane (on hand and unspecified anatomy).  The last case happening sometime between 1980 and 1985.

Yes, jd 19, aka Ibizanhound.  Very sadly missed.  But then I miss all our former lady contributors, even the occasional ones who for whatever reason sought to take issue with me.  I should have posted to that effect but I did manage to persuade the Search Engine to let me in and was completely unable to locate the post I thought I remembered.  I can think of no reason why it might have been removed so I conclude that I must have imagined it.

I simply tried a couple of key word searches based on your description.  Firstly ‘swimming’ which yielded too much for me to trawl through, followed by ‘horse’ which resulted in me finding the name ‘Ibizanhound’ not too far from the top.  It is a shame that contributions from female members are few and far between these days.

My admiration for your capabilities increases by leaps and bounds!  You wrote in your contribution #67 above:

I’m darned if I can understand how you did that, because I can’t!  Feeling under threat of loosing my claim to be reasonably knowledgeable about this estimable Forum I returned to the fray.  Having gained access to the Forum Search Engine with the usual Cloudflare imposed problems (at least for Tor users) I tried to repeat your above feat and failed miserably.  However I then tried a completely different approach and lo and behold I found the swimming reference I remembered.  Here it is.

Alas it is not, as I thought I recalled, and as I claimed in #64 above, a full scale bare bottom spanking in a girls’ secondary school.  It was in fact more Ff SCP Fun Slippering.  It did though take place during a swimming lesson.  Discussion continues from the above linked contribution by jd 19 aka IbizanHound (but now depersonalised by long absence to ‘Guest with a query’,  a fate which will eventually overtake us all if the Forum outlives our last ever contribution by the requisite period) through to contribution #82 on the next page of the same thread.  The interesting topic of swimming lesson whacks then continues with a contribution from another sadly missed contributor, my fellow Nottinghamshire Community member Declan.

Serious students of this Forum will wish to know that at one stage of her secondary school career jd 19 was very severely caned by the then ‘Head of Girls’ at the behest of the influential mother of another pupil, who falsely alleged that jd 19 had been bullying her daughter.  After the usual prolonged and persistent querying by the Forum’s then complement of several earnest seekers after the truth about the corporal punishment of schoolgirls it was eventually more or less established that that caning had been on the bottom and had clearly been both unjustified and very excessive.

Those who continue on to Declan’s contribution will wish to know that Declan was into both receiving and delivering corporal punishment and that at his secondary school not only did they have mixed swimming lessons, but the girls swam in bikinis.  PE kit for girls was bright orange.  Not a school for shy or introverted schoolgirls methinks, especially with Declan on the role!
