I made my way down the stairs carefully trying not to let the metal tips of my heels click too loudly and when I got to the front door, I paused quickly to make sure my skirt hadn’t ridden up – all was fine.
Anxiously I opened the door and quickly looked up and down the street to make sure no one was about and stepped outside.
This was my first time out in my 4″ heels and after being out on several occasions in my 5″ ones I thought it would be quite easy to walk but as usual, being accustomed to walking on soft carpet disillusions you into believing that walking outside is no different.
I quickly realized how wrong my assumptions were after only a few steps.
