Question
In hot weather wearing a wig can be rather uncomfortable
Is it better to wear a human hair wig or synthetic one, with regards to keeping cool.
I have a synthetic wig, and after a while,in the heat, it does become uncomfortable.
I know that it would be better to let my own hair grow but this is not an option.
Has anyone found a way to look great and keep cool without perspiring?

No, it is not possible.
Keep to synthetic wigs as real hair wigs get ruined more easily in such circumstances.
One option for relief is to shave your head.
This is not my thing, but it can help.

A lot of women of a certain age, (not that I am suggesting anything in your case Dawn), experience what are known as hot flushes.
Don’t be alarmed.
This is perfectly normal.
Relax, and accept that it is likely, that you are not the only woman to be experiencing this.
I agree with the use of lighter synthetics.
I get them cheap for £5 to £15 usually and then just bin them after a couple of uses.
I also have outdoor wigs and indoor ones (shorter for indoor)
Apparently, the experts say that a common error is for a girl to wear a wig that is too thick.
It looks better if thinner as the head shape is in better proportion.
Also, choose lighter clothes.
I am really shy of my own flesh.
I generally believe that a girl with thick tights and long sleeves on a hot summer day is going to get read more easily, and from a greater distance.

You must be getting absolutely wonderful wigs.
I’m sure mine are not a patch on yours.
I have just bought 7 wigs direct from China for £61.03
A lot of direct exporters are now offering absolutely insanely low fob prices.
This is particularly true if you buy in decent quantities.
You do sometimes get some weird colours –
particularly the reds –
so it is a case of buyer beware.
The more risk-averse buyer can get a good deal from one of the bigger eBay stores

Shaving my head is just a little too extreme, even if it does help
I will just have to purchase some shorter wigs
I get most of mine from eBay as well

I am pretty good at looking after my human hair wigs.
(if you’ve ever had hair extensions you’ll know all about that)
Using a rounded-end brush, conditioner, or spray-on leave-in, but what’s the best thing for synthetics?
A long time ago, I used spray-on product from ‘trends which is popular, and which I think is for synthetics.
