Speaking of which, I’m just off to get some new smelly, got a hot date on Saturday night

Delivery on the fragrance direct site can take up to 10 days, so I wouldn’t advise it if you are in a hurry to get anything.

But as for the High Street, I wouldn’t think that any shop would have a problem with you buying perfume, even if you say it’s for yourself and dainty spray it on your wrists.

With the state of the economy at the minute and the fact that most shops are struggling, they will be glad of your custom.

Let’s face it, if you want to say it for a partner, what do most blokes do when faced with a birthday, Christmas, or an anniversary – nip into boots and stand
bemused at the perfume counter until someone helps them out.
