Thanks for your brilliant suggestion about the seats in my skirts.

I had a look at them,

one has a back seat in the center of the skirt,

the other two side seams.

I phoned a female friend who knows of my chosen lifestyle

She came over and has already opened the back seam for about  9 inches

This has solved the problem completely and with a bonus which I will explain.

Katherine has made good the seam very neatly and the bonus is that when I wore the skirt with a slip under each,

which I nearly always do,

it gives a tantalizing glimpse of petticoat when the slip opens as I walk.

I like that very much.
