The streets Sandra drove them through en route to the first place she wanted to show Nick were very dirty; not like the streets in Central Downtown or the Corporate Enclaves. Most corners had either people down on their luck, streetwalkers, or the homeless. Some had groups of youths. Most of the shops were either burnt out or the fronts were covered by heavy wooden sheets.

Over the earpiece came Sandra’s voice, “This is the real city, the corporations have priced 90% of all the local shops out of business, the only places where most people can buy anything are corporate run Malls and mega-stores and most of the stuff is overpriced and not of good quality.”
