The bar they were in was one of the underground bars. The walls were lined with what looked like oak panels, but, from the neighborhood, it was likely fake or laminated, and the fixtures turned it from an underground bar into an old-style pub of the early years. The punters looked like good people. Most of them kept to themselves.

After a few drinks had been bought and consumed the group headed out the back way and walked down the back alleyways and across local small parkland. After a few minutes of walking, they reached the Patterson’s home.

The garden in front of the house was concrete with a couple of bikes in pieces and a few beat-up old cars. What caught Nick’s eye was the Wazz-Uki 1000 in front of the garage. He walked over to it and had a quick look at it.
