The Acculight is an Intense Pulsed Light (IPL), not a bad system in its day but looking a little old in the tooth now.
The acculight was a little ‘snappy’ but did have a good pulse sequence.
(the energy is released in pulses of a few milliseconds to heat up the hair whilst keeping the skin below the thermal damage level).
I would say that there are three components to having effective treatment.
The system has to be clinically effective (and have substantial data backing up the manufacturer’s claims), the practitioner must be competent (qualified, knowledgeable, licensed and understands the real differences in treatment protocols) and the client needs to be committed to having the treatment (tolerance, continuity and follow the aftercare advice such as sun protection, plucking etc)
The postal address is just that and doesn’t affect the treatment.
