“Can I tell her myself ?”I asked, “I should be the one to explain.”
I was already thinking of how to make things right again. I really liked Pauls mother and she was after all expecting to hear from me in person.
“Is that what you wish to do Peter?” asked Mother.
“I really should,” I answered.
“Very Well then.” Mother said in an agreeable tone.
“When you come home you have to tell me everything that happened, after all I do not wish to have any ill feelings with the Neighbours.”
I told Mother in a grown-up manner that I would deal with everything.
