Myself, I did not say anything for I had a much worse dilemma.

My mother was a single parent who did not believe in spanking.

She would probably give me a softer option and ground me instead.

I was now truly worried that that would not satisfy Mrs Winters

 

Although Mrs Winters was very nice, she was also very old-fashioned and very strict.

If she wanted us all spanked for the damage that had been done to her window, It was unlikely that she would settle for anything less.
