I really enjoyed my days at school. I wish i could have them back again.I attended two roman catholic schools in Glasgow. Cranhill Primary was the start of my scholastic career, I was to finish my schooling at St.Gregory’s RC Secondary. I was raised by my maternal aunt, who was a devout catholic. The whole thing used to put the wind up me. I do not mind admitting. when you wee and you go into a church for the first time, the whole pomp and ceremony of a full catholic mass can be intimidating. The one aspect that really freaked me out was the large figure of Christ on the cross.to see some poor sod looking in absolute agony(as he obviously was)The look of terror on the effigy’s face. most haunting.
