A dingy white, almost grey size nine plimsol was awarded for moderate offenses and breaking school rules.
And finally, and most common. what the head called a mother chastisement, a traditional over-the-knee spanking. and usually applied over the seat of pants or knickers depending on the recipient’s gender.
I had received a couple of spankings up to my last year before senior school. both of them deserved, I would not call them proper spankings,it was usually twelve firm smacks across the bottom from the designated teacher. one such punishment took place at the end of Friday morning assembly.
