Once when being taught in class by Jackie , she turned to myself and my neighbor , who had been talking and inattentive and said ( ok she probably snapped at us ) ‘That’s your second warning : I’ll not warn you again!’ My neighbor was incensed and took his life in his hands and said ‘ No ma’am its my FIRST warning ‘ The room quietened waiting for World War three to commence. It didn’t. Strangely she didn’t respond.
Later at home she told me that it was my second warning: but the first warning was given through body language …..I tended to read her body language, he obviously didn’t…He did , however recognize a verbal challenge.Technically she could have justified punishing me but not him ( she normally only gave one warning !).
