The criminals would be so afraid of getting punished that they would never commit any kind of crime. I think that’s what punishment should be. A detracting element so harsh that nobody in their right mind would ever want to dare risk it. I think it is so horrifying that by inflicting the cane on the soles of the offender’s feet one could rid the world of all criminal actions, regardless of if the criminal is male, female, black, white, Malay or anything else. I can tell you it hurts like hell, and criminals, just like anyone else on earth, fear pain to where if they knew they would be punished in that fashion, they would not even begin to think of committing crime.
