I saw a recent article in a newspaper saying that there had been around 50,000 school suspensions handed out and the teaching profession were asking for more assistance to deal with an increase in school misbehaviour. The teaching profession said that the increase can be attributed to an increase in psychological issues facing teenagers. Personally I think that school children don’t fear the discipline and its having no impact, funny how we didn’t have this problem when we were getting our bottoms whacked for misbehaviour. Sure there may have been some who needed a different approach to discipline but the current status is ridiculous and the behaviour issue is purely about the lack of fear in the detention suspension method of discipline favoured by the politically correct. Teachers have dug their own hole as far as I am concerned
