If I found out I was dealing with unmitigated thuggery or ladettes trying to be clever, as a magistrate(and that WOULD be a police matter & not school), the girls would be spending a considerable number of weekends(at least 10) on community service, with highly-visible orange vest if desired.

I am not at all happy with the concept of “community service” as a punishment. Surely, serving the community is something to be proud of, not an occupation to be denigrated. How does your average street cleaner feel when his or hard work is looked down on as the equivalent of a punishment? No wonder it is difficult to find people to take on these valuable jobs.

To me, it would be far better to get our kids to want to serve the community, not look at it as something to be avoided.
