DR. KEATS’S EVIDENCE.
The plaintiff, Dr. W.J.C. Keats, examined by Mr. NEILSON, gave evidence in support Mr. McCall’s opening statement. He denied he had ever been guilty of flogging sick children.
Cross-examined by Mrs. Bracey-Wright.- The expense of the action was being borne by the Medical Protection Society. The proceedings were not instigated by any member of the board of guardians, but were started by himself.
Cross-examined by Mr. H.C. Bracey-Wright.- He (Dr. Keats) had never seen him (Mr. Bracey-Wright) before or spoken to him. With regard to a boy named Allen, the witness said that he ad come into the infirmary suffering from skin disease.
