His LORDSHIP summed up the case to the jury, leaving to them a number of questions, all of which they answered in favour of the plaintiff, assessing the damages at £300. They added a rider to their verdict to the effect that in their opinion in future the correction of child patients in the infirmary should be reported at the next meeting of the guardians.

Mr. R. F. MCCALL said that this was now done.

His LORDSHIP entered judgment for the plaintiff in accordance with the findings of the jury, allowing a stay of execution upon terms in view of an appeal.

The jury were excused from further service for five years.
